What will this camera be about? A compact camera or a really good camera? Neither is yet for me. I shoot mainly in two situations: in Nature / Outdoor - while there is sufficient light and then make compacts sufficiently good images - the X30 is there no better than many other cheap cameras, but then often a much more compact, more manageable format have. Still, the sensor of X30 is in sharp focus due to the arrangement of pixels in the green area is not as high resolution as conventional sensors with Bayer filter. The other situation in which I photograph a lot is indoors in low light where I need a fast autofocus and short exposure times. And in this situation, this camera fails like all other compact cameras also - so it brings me nothing at all, that the sensor is a bit larger and the lens a shade brighter, because the threshold of sufficient image quality at ISO is> 800 simply does not reach. Since I can only handle for even unhandlicheren SLR. And to a compact Fuji can replace this I will not go into the league of mirrorless. Incidentally, the non-existent gripping bead makes holding this camera for extended periods for me a painful exercise. It is a complete mystery to me how one can develop a haptic so subterranean camera body. What bothers me also still is that the camera can only by rotating the lens and out-turn - that takes too long to me, is designed too complicated and also goes all but very heavy. Postive would of course be the foldable monitor to mention and the autofocus is my experience at a sufficiently light and suitable.
