When I played Metro 2033 for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised, now I Metro 2033 so played out around the 3 times and has thus, become one of my favorite games.
As the official announcement of Metro Last Light came, I was happy like a child and could not wait for the release. Accordingly, my expectations were high, but I was satisfied änlich as its predecessor? You'll find out in my test.
I have freely taken for Metro Last Light aside a whole day (to 17.05.2013) and wanted to experience the game in a single day in a single pass, in the afternoon I began at 13:00 and played until 21:20. These are exactly 500 minutes (8.5 hours), the Steam counted. Here's a big plus, I Metro Last Light played at the simplest level, inquired the corners, listening conversations and admired the scenery. In Verlgeich Metro 2033 busied myself just for almost 5h, even though I had shopped around the corners.
The playing time is here much longer, so that 4A Games has ever eradicated a criticism of its predecessor.
But what about graphics and sound, I anticipate've Metro Last Light on only one GTX 560Ti Edition and on an AMD Phenom 2X4 955 3.2GHz played with 8GB of RAM, and should You would typically be able to play only on medium settings after Gamestar Technology Table , However, the game struck me immediately a resolution of 1920x1080 with Textureinstelllungen on very high before, with Antilasing quadruple and a few other settings and could play Metro LL anytime liquid. Benchmark counted 27-28 Frps on average, but it came to me in the game a lot more before.
Generally, the graphics was just top, beautiful landscapes near as in the distance, great animations, beautiful light and shadow effects as well as the fire. Only the somewhat outdated nature faces threw off a small first point of criticism here, but it hardly bothered and against the great textures and none of this prevented the game in terms of graphics a 10/10 zuverpassen.
Artyom, is so our figure is indeed about the whole game in silence, but not the other figures and characters that are implemented very well in German, with a (I like it) beautiful Russian accent, which in my opinion very well to the perfect unconverted setting fits. Normal German speakers would, here just not quite fit in the setting and the wonderful atmosphere, the poet could not be. The weapon sounds are fantastic, in my opinion and never have to hide behind Battlefield 3. The ambient noise occur an almost real.
Another point of criticism was the somewhat sluggish control in Metro 2033, but here everything is to control buttery soft, in general, the operation is just terrific.
The balance is very good, so you will be on the simplest of the two (without the Ranger Hardcore mode), not challenged, but not overwhelmed, so there is no frustration points throughout the game. The easier difficulty is perfect to enjoy the game and may still feel called.
In Metro LL can be minimized by the linear sections that have never bothered me here, by shoot or do them one by one in Schleich principle.
Here we have to take up arms, the armory is filled pretty neat and you can carry up to three weapons at a time (not counting knife). The weapons can be upgraded with various upgrades as a muffler to unnoticed off lights and so one or the other to shoot in the dark, or to make a sighting by another enemy better, there are some great upgrades.
In Metro 2033, there were a few sections Level I did not like so, but here there was no second a section in my enthusiasm to the game even for a short negative expressed.
Metro LL tells exactly the story of Metro 2033 to please continue and indeed from the perspective of the bad end of Metro 2033. The history knows immediately and tied me all the time before the screen because I always wanted to know what happens next. While we are fighting in the subway tunnels, but it is also occasionally times to the surface, where we absolutely need our gas masks and filters. The filter can not be bought from the merchants as cartridges, weapons, etc. Although it exactly motivated to inquire all the corners of the game because you can find the filter and only these also need to survive. A filter reaches just under 5 minutes which is why, ever so has a sense of how long it has air? This is especially exciting when you have almost no filter (if you do not inquired many corners) and thus spends every minute on the surface.
Once I killed a mutant, a Beweggleiter said why, I shot the monster, but he wanted to defend his only boy, you would have easily just go on. From then on I reproached myself why I had killed the monster, the poor little motherless. Actually, there are only monsters, but that was made so strong that you only had to think about since.
The AI is not the best, but I think people KI has a little (not much) compared to Metro 2033 improved, but that's enough to exciting great battles even after the umpteenth opponent still very exciting and not barren come over. The monsters behave like monsters should be simple, while they storm often only, umgreisen, but also one or the other tactics of Europe. Some block even with their tanks from balls.
Depending on the decision in the game, these have an impact on the end, who gives a beggar for example a cartridge, causes something good, and depending on the good or bad decisions can alter the end, I had, for example, the bad end, although I gave the beggar cartridges since negative decisions have simple, good exceeded.
Conclusion:
As already said, I have the game in 8.5 St. played through and was bored second to none with no breaks. The unusual setting and the truly divine atmosphere put me in a completely different world, as I had never experienced before. I play all the games crisscross and have never experienced such an atmosphere. The graphics and sound are fantastic. The season relatively long compared to its predecessor, grandiose levels and a pefekte operation make Metro Last Light for me the best shooter I've ever played. The game is an absolute must. To understand the game but, the previous should have already been played through once. I'm looking forward to the possible successor (is yes slightly indicated at the end) and can not wait.
