The work of Bach is like a cathedral, powerful, soaring skyward. This collection of CD containing the complete creation of Bach is fortunately accompanied by a DVD with both the details of each CD, the author of the biography, scores, a wealth of detail on the context of the composition and proposed interpretations. This DVD is a thread for research or better complete the hearing by additional explanations. I have not done an exhaustive listening of this album but I survey process with compositions that I listen more usually and I must say that, compared with Trevor Pinnock or Gardiner, Cochereau, Julia Fisher, Blandine Rannou, this collection does not demerit, it is often surprising to both the technical quality of the recording of the interpretation. In fact, it often attaches to the first interpretation that we acquire and listen with renewed pleasure. Therefore it is very difficult to be objective, but to be surprised or amazed by this or that interpretation "different". This is why it is best to be guided in his choice to compare some interpretations among the best before stopping at the one preferred. This possibility is "discharged" during the acquisition of an integral like this. And yet, despite some initial reluctance, I must admit that there is nothing mediocre in this collection (except, however the cardboard box which is very lightweight and denotes in this set) and I find that 'at this price, this is an excellent deal!
