It works fine for my use exclusively with XBMC, for which I had to map a few keys that do not exist on the remote (the information function of a film such as XBMC that maps the yellow button).
The remote is very reasonable quality for the price, advanced features are nice (mouse clicks left / right windows explorer, mail, web browser, ...), there is no application to modify the actions supplied keys, but I use the EventGhost software that allows you to change anything you want.
Only downside, if the remote control manages to turn the PC via the power button, it allows the light (ignition USB enabled in the BIOS with a USB wireless mouse that works without problems). Indeed USB IR receiver does not seem able to receive a signal if the PC is off. I read on some forums that some IR receivers are able to do so and some motherboards, I've also read that it must function out of standby, but this involves letting the pc partially illuminated. It's a shame because I would be able to manage everything from Logitech remote control only.
In conclusion,
The +
- Barrel price (about 8)
- Very correct finish
- Remote relatively complete
Les -
- We must hack to modify the operation of the keys (EventGhost with the keyboard component and receiver IR)
- I have not solution for computer ignition
