Due to a camera body change've me to set the RS-80N3 as my "old" Remote Switch RS-60EW no longer fits. Space in the camera bag and weight especially since I do not use the timer day for me an important criterion. The weight is not worth mentioning, but compared to the RS-60EW the RS-80N3 falls unfortunately much larger (even in the price).
As another drawback, I feel that the connection only in a certain position fits into the camera. Especially when shooting at night can ever be fiddly and unnecessary cumbersome (the old remote release has certainly no preferred direction). And it is this: darkness, rush, small inattention or rougher photo insert: one is sometimes not very concentrated and careful are the counterparts - 3 small metal pins in the camera - bent quickly with this system.
So I use now strengthened the self-timer of the camera and have banished the cable release from the camera bag. Only if its use is foreseen, I'll take him.
Overall a nice piece with poor ergonomics.
