I use it as a wireless access point for an existing LAN. In various test reports I've read that as an Access Point mode is missing, that's not true. This mode is just not explicitly listed in the settings. Everything you need to make is quite simple: to reset router to factory settings, turn off DHCP, wireless settings (security, SSID, etc.), the router to one of the 4 LAN ports with an existing LAN to connect and you're done.
The only shortcoming is that the wireless Internet speed is not as good as over LAN (802.11n mode only, and whether low or high transmit power). About Wi-Fi to reach after repeated testing pretty much always half the LAN speed. We speak with the LAN of 80Mbit / s and 40Mbit WLAN then about / s (hooray for the fiberglass! ;-) Of the world does not go under, I would have hoped for the full stop with speed 802.11n ...
Conclusion: BUY!
