"... Learn the Art of Beautiful Writing"

The book is translated from the English and the original title is "Calligraphy and Illumination. Learn the Art of Beautiful Writing." information that I learned this morning when the package arrived.
This is a moment that I want to put myself and there is a shelf reserved for books about calligraphy in either English or French; all interesting, all beautifully presented ... But still lacked something exciting or motivating or accessible.
I think this book "Drawing manual CALLIGRAPHY AND ILLUMINATION" might contain. It is a book easily (and discreetly) transportable - softcover 31-page, A4 size and weighing only 135g. You can put it down, take it, read it in the garden or in the living room without disturbing anything. Two pages are devoted to the tools, equipment and installation: basic material for calligraphy, illumination equipment, equipment for drawing and even the installation of the workstation and that's good.
First objective? Create calligraphy of a maxim. We branch lines in stages But we do not start immediately because first we must prepare - the what, the when, the how ... Everything is explained.
Once ready we must first of all learn the basic steps to master writing pen in hand and finally we can exercise - everything is clearly documented, clearly illustrated ...
Gradually the exercises become more serious as we believe our compositions and of course after the layout we come to color.
Finally the last 6 pages lead us to achieve the deuxème goal of illuminating letters. I repeat myself by saying that it is clear because it is concise and do the layout all tired eyes.
Page after page we discover tips, always framed with a red boîtee instructions - do not forget to take note and we have gained expertise and practice ...
