In 18650 batteries I wanted to do anything wrong, so branded product, Protected Battery and Charger brands.
It was umgelabelte of ENERPOWER Samsung batteries "26H", "assembled in Germany", from current production.
The battery was freshly charged ("of course" in the supplied charger from ENERPOWER), was then kept in the plastic box, waiting for the first use. After several hours, the smell of burnt plastic made wide: the battery was blown on one side, including the box.
Then rather equal the original Samsung ...
EDIT:
Reply E.GmbH:
"Unfortunately, you show in this product review that you do not have much idea about this product or the difference
between a battery and a Li-Ion cell! A battery is a product that is manufactured with a protective circuit.
Samsung produces the cell, which is a component of this product. It would be just as if you would write:
My Dell Computer is not that great, preferring instead to buy Intel processor!
By the way ... from our telephone conversation I got the impression that the battery has been delivered to you.
Only when the defective battery comes back, we will explore the cause "
After ENERPOWER me now even wants to stand as a stupid boy and liars me, and probably has marked as "not helpful" and my comment:
Love "E.GmbH" - you can at least apologize again to ensure that would be fair. I have everything correct.
Make nevertheless times the submitted photo here to my relief! Although this is little commercial appeal, but revealing.
And:
* The difference between an unprotected and protected battery is very well known to me.
* The alleged telephone conversation never took place. It shows me, however, contrary to the performed communication that probably have other problems with their batteries.
* It is everything I have written: The battery has been charged, and then scorched in the supplied case. I am honestly still glad that no longer happened.
* I also get protected by batteries of Samsung, which I will get me now.
Provide customer unjustifiably publicly pilloried is probably the last person I can really care about the poor quality of the production:
My retrospective analysis: The insulation of the Plus strip against the housing is defective. Here is the anatomy of a protected cell:
(Links are not possible, so Googling with "The Anatomy of a Protected LiIon Battery")
Exactly in the middle of the metal strip, the cell is blown. (EDIT: Since ENERPOWER here me here hinstellt again as stupid: this is where a formidable short circuit took place and that should be normal despite quality insulation.?)
My trust is in any case finally gone. I have written down the items from two to one star. The whole shebang is now back fully.
