A short summary for those in a hurry among you first:
+ Very easy to fly, even for beginners
+ No calibration necessary before 1st start
+ Light at the Helifront fairly light makes some visually ago
+ For the price very good workmanship
+ Survives crashes (yet) without prejudice
+ 2 rear rotors as a substitute supplied
0 could one or the other but be too small for that, but in my opinion, for a medium-sized sitting room not well under- not oversized
- No batteries (6 x AA) for the remote control included
Now a little more detail:
First of all: I am very pleased with the helicopter.
My previous experience: So far, I'm having a larger tewas, reported yet for beginners Helicopter friend flew a few times (with no wind in the open). Handling I felt as though more difficult than expected, which is why the real joy can not go beyond set. Then I have a possessed Hubsan X4 Quadrocopter. With this I am only flown in the living room. Actually, I was quite satisfied; but only actually. The first flight successes came quite quickly, but the process was to say the least underground. Each little or bigger crash a propeller blade broke. Remedy could bring no propeller protection. After a few weeks of Hubsan was no longer calibrated and turned only on its own axis. So I gave him back.
Now I ventured, despite the rather unfortunate experience at the AMEWI helicopter. Before that, I studied numerous reviews of this but also of comparable models. Priced seen I did not want to spend a lot (because of negative experiences in advance) first. Less than 40 my new toy should cost.
So ordered, unpacked, inserted batteries into the remote and already I could get started. The battery of the helicopter was already summoned. So I had him turn on with the switch located on the ground, well, then press the remote control the connection button on the remote control and the remote control started blinking only. The flashing red light went out, a good sign, because it means that you are connected to the helicopter. And then it was already going on with the first tentative flight tests.
And I'm thrilled. Flying by helicopter is really easy. He has no prior calibration precisely in the air, no turning around its own axis, no back and forth or up and down. So I started something in the living room rumzufliegen. Only hesitantly, then came by my male ambition and I tried to fly faster, quickly change direction and the height. Of course I was a little taken me and the helicopter made the odd crash landing. In another review, it was noted that the helicopter is processed cheaply, it consists only of plastic etc.
Of course, it only consists of plastic, what else? Carbon? Yes, would be possible, because it is also easy. But the helicopter would have to cost 10 times. Made of stainless steel? Impractical, because it would not take off due to the weight. The processing is considering the price (and the audience) really neat. The plastic is easily bendable, which does not directly cause the crash landings damage. If the tail rotor but once break down, no problem. Supplied with two spare rotors are. In addition, various replacement and wear parts can be bought for little money.
I'll try to review gradually supplement. Next, I'll only have to practice a bit in the living room, then I will trust (out of curiosity) with no wind on the terrace. Let's see how the little kicks.
// UPDATE //
Meanwhile, I've flown outdoors in almost no wind and it goes. The hero remains relatively stable and controllable, as I said, with no wind.
Unfortunately I have like many others complain about a defect after only 5 days: The helicopter suddenly stops takes off and only turns more in the circle. Just a few minutes earlier, he flew flawlessly. A crash or similar the defect was not progressing. It will also be appreciated no defect optically. Trimming is not possible. As I said, the helicopter turns to the floor like a maniac in the circle and does not answer.
