"Her Majesty's Secret" is one of the most underrated Bond movies and is also the least known. Hardly anyone knows George Lazenby or the movie title. Well, those who do not know him, missing one of the three best films throughout the series - I call it the "gem" among the 007 movies. Because this film has something else no other offers: A Bond showing feelings, seriously in love, even married - and the only film of the series no happy ending. In addition a magnificent Bond flair that permeates the whole film: The scenes are in Portugal on the Atlantic coast, in Berne and Mürren in Switzerland. In Portugal Bond gets at the hotel the "princes" -Apartment, play at the casino and drives a new Aston Martin. On returning to England he announces (!) His job and visited then M in the private home, an old Victorian mansion. The most beautiful Bond flair then developed the film in Switzerland, in winter Mürren: august of helicopter flight to Blofeld's Alpine fortress "Piz Gloria", backed with the phenomenal music of John Barry, gloriously alone the names of local officials or gangsters: Grunther , Irma Bunt, Dr. von Zahn, delightfully Bonds appearance in Scottish kilts, glorious gondola scene, wonderfully the Skiverfolgungsjagd (pay attention to the spacey goggles!) and escape through Mürren and Grindelwald. Then scenes, which before and after was never again in Bond: He makes Tracy, the only woman he ever really loved, to marry him, you can see romantic scenes with the wonderful "We have all the time in the world", by Louis Armstrong sang. Unusually (but very pleasant) is that Regiesseur Peter Hunt renounced almost entirely on technical toys. Only a short scene used a portable Bond Tresorknack- and copier, unfortunately this exciting scene was cut out for the German version. Toll also the fashion in this film: who has seen Bond with orange shirt and pink ties, or Gangster with purple tie? Especially also needs to be pointed to the music of John Barry, who is the best of the whole series. So: You've probably noticed, here wrote an enthusiastic bond and "Her Majesty's Secret" fan. Who this highlight of the series, in my eyes to "Goldfinger" and "Greetings from Moscow" the third best Bond film ever, does not like or does not know - your own fault.
