The installation of the new hard drive is pretty simple but if you want to take your time, count between 30 and 45 minutes (backup and data transfer took 15 minutes). Especially made LOT ATTENTION available to the VIS the back of your macbook air !! they are different and it is imperative to put the right size screws to the right place.
After this installation rather easy, and after using this drive for 1.5 months now, I am satisfied because the storage capacity is really great now and I'm not obliged to transfer my documents without cease.
By cons, from a theoretical point of view, this drive is + faster than the original one installed by Apple. In practice, this is not the case. This may be incured capacity 4 times higher but know that my macbook air died in a good 15aine seconds whereas before 4 to 5 seconds enough. Same for ignition which is a little longer than before (but not as representative as extinction)
Second downside, I can not reconcile the number of Gigas displayed in Disk Utility and the one displayed when you click on READ INFORMATION (right click), I have a gap of about 3-4go
Finally, and this is the most boring, and this happens to me only since I installed this JetDrive: When I turn on my Macbook Air, sometimes the menu bar is not displayed !!! It is impossible for me to use it. Therefore, I will reboot and the bar - fortunately - is displayed again.
Certainly this problem is the installation of the drive because I never had this problem before! However, this problem is easily solved by restarting the Mac and the problem appears only every 15 to 20 power.
Overall satisfied despite these minor gripes!
