After I was not really satisfied with the digital camera of my father, a Casio, I decided to buy me own, new cam. Too high could the price for me not to be a student, so I was looking at various sites for reviews to price and performance in the field to 150 euros. The Canon PowerShot3000 IS was in this price range at No. 3 and also promised all the features that I wanted from a camera: zoom, movie recording with sound, flash without recharge (at the Casio it took 4-7 seconds until the flash has been fired - far too long!) and the opportunity to take close-up (could not the Casio). After some comparisons with other similar reviews digicams my choice then fell on the Canon. Ordered, two days later she was there. Recharge time went very fast: 1.5 hours then I could shoot the first images - and was instantly impressed. The images are crisp and sharp, I could make out every different colored hairs in my cat. The display is a good size and the quality of the photos are good again. The camera automatically adjusts focus, you can also do it yourself by pressing a button. Close dampers outstanding. The 4x optical zoom brings a very close approach to the motives, only the digital zoom would have been able to save, you use the, the picture is fuzzy and blurred. The quality of sound and image of the video is good, you can make rapid movements without that the video stops. Overall, the Canon can be easily operated, has some interesting modes, handy and easy, recognizes faces and makes great pictures. Slightly irritating for me was at first the noise (horizontal / vertical), the camera is in focus and turning, but that one can exhibit the menu. I can only recommend this cam!
