Weber Smokey Joe: Did I viewed in Baumark, but since I am not convinced, because the rust is very close to the coals, and he is not height adjustable.
Weber goAnywhere: One of my favorites, but unfortunately not to buy in Germany or just to outrageous prices (about 110 euros, in America less than 40 dollars).
Esbit Charcoal Grill BBQ grill box: I found also great, but unfortunately no way sometimes to grill indirectly by the processing and the appearance. Had I but the Weber Smokey Joe preferred anyway.
Son of Hibachi: Also a good concept, but there are, as often seems to processing problems (disfiguration, burns or rust through) also also not passively grilling possible.
At the end I had to decide between the Weber goAnywhere, and Cobb. I think if there had been a weaver at a reasonable price, he would have won the race as the price line winner. However, since this was not the case and that it amounted to the difference Cobb, in the basic version without additional accessories 10. Therefore I have decided because of the better handling and flexibility for the Cobb.
Side note: There is here on Amazon sellers that him "with pocket" and sell it require 7 euros more, this bag is my opinion, but always there.
Now for the Cobb itself: The Cobb is indeed "made in China", but the quality is impressive. Almost everything is processed stainless steel and really good and nice to look at.
The default "grill" is quite solid and top coated as a non-stick pan. I have rubbed before grilling, always with something hocherhitzbarem oil, after grilling could clean them in a short time.
However, I think if you use very often, the coating will eventually suffer. One characteristic of Teflon pans yes. But this is fortunately not a problem because all parts, can buy more individually, a major plus for the Cobb.
The nice thing about Cobb is also great flexibility, early in the morning to do in the pan scrambled eggs with bacon, lunch delicious vegetables from the wok and evening there is a meatloaf with potatoes.
Also you can not really grilling "directly", I have now been resolved. To this end, I just put a cast iron grate on (in my case Seargrate of Weber) and the direct grilling, nothing stands in the way.
The cover can increase well regulate the heat.
Conclusion: The Cobb gets me 5 star because of its good workmanship and flexible application possibilities, I had to decide again I would go back to Cobb but possibly take the XXL version.
What I like less Cobb, is the high price, if you look at accessories kauft.Hier you are then definitely in the range above 200 euros. In addition, it would be nice if there was an original cast-iron griddle.
A thermometer in the lid would also be a nice feature.
Have fun while grilling.
