Never forget Romain Gary

Never forget Romain Gary

The promise of dawn (Paperback)

Customer Review

The auto-fiction is fashionable. Many people think that their life has been interesting and can be used for construction of others. Result, you can find anything in the genre, and the mediocre works are obscure shelves of bookstores, obscuring the major works like this. The Promise of Dawn is a simulation of childhood and youth of the man who was not called yet Romain Gary. Where is the real, where is the wrong? Regardless, the pleasure lies in the slip to reverse time, subtle and convincing, which sounds in itself memories. Are they related to words, this inimitable style and boundless wealth that is characteristic of this great writer? Certainly. For the twenty-first century reader, this book speaks of a bygone era, and perhaps even forgotten values. One can find pieces of ourselves, we can also feel totally out of place, the fact remains that this text both funny and nostalgic evocation has an unusual force and will enthuse the less player convinced.
So yes: you must read (or read) Romain Gary.
