Packaging, look and feel:
Nothing to complain about. Everything as it should be. No oblique shots, cathode or the like. Vitreous clear and perfectly.
Price:
With just under 70 euros a piece in the context of what is ok completely. In the workshop you pay significantly more.
Installation:
Without Problems. When Octavia 2 (1Z) you can with two handles, tools, the complete headlamp removed for relamping. When xenon you should know what you're doing, prevent shock but. With some sense but that is quite feasible. Here, there are no instructions to do so;)
The old Brenner have been expanded rapidly. The new, with caution, installed just as quickly. The connectors fit exactly. The former initiator may be used in these burners.
Important: The Post-installation in the workshop! Here are the Skoda to observe the part-standard Einstellgrade. Also has the Skoda Octavia first diagnostic device via the height adjustment to zero, and be saved after adjustment. Here denied the 2 workshops and thought that would go that way. Information from work: diagnostic equipment is imperative. And so it was.
Light:
After turning on the light is initially quite strong bluish and then changes rapidly into white. The yellow tinge, as the previous original torch is not given here. Signs are well illuminated and the light is very bright.
When wet, because white light is notoriously difficult, everything is in the green zone with me. And I'm quite fussy.
The illumination is quite good, a bit "spotty" than the original, but which considerably darker since the end of life, were. At the "patchy" you get used to.
Conclusion:
With the burners finally has the "AHA" set I expected when buying the Octavia with Xenon. So far, always been with H4 / H7 / H1 go.
Note:
- Much depends on the headlights themselves. In the same lamp model, a headlight of another vehicle manufacturer throws quite a different light on the road.
- Older xenon headlights may have a milky fog the lens. As with me. This insulates the light and illumination. Some lights can be cleaned this lens more or less well, with other basically no. When Octavia 1Z latter is the case. Not intended for cleaning. With lots of love, patience and training may be the top (main) part of the lens clean.
For these reasons, my vote is primarily true for the Octavia 2 (1Z) and not in principle for all cars.
I would Xenarc buy again, think but this will not be necessary at the current age / mileage of the car)
