Customer Review

I must have mentioned at some point in the lesson, that I find this super remote controlled helicopter and Quadrokopter that exist today and that would still make me now as an adult a lot of fun to play with such a thing. And so it was that I handed over my tenth graders at the closing ceremony of this i-Helicopter as a parting gift.
When I saw the "i" in front of the word helicopter, initially I was disappointed because I assumed that you can control only via an i-phone this thing and I'm holding now time an Android smartphone. I had a real anger, because I thought, everything is fun and what's cool, there's always plan only for this elitäten owners of devices with a gnawed apple. I was already on the verge of the helicopter to my colleague (i-phone - owners) to give more, but then I just tried the specified app to load on my Xperia Z and it was!
The helicopter is so ever suitable for my Android device! That is in itself good.

Loading:
The part is yes from the actual helicopter and called the transmitter, ie a transmitter - unit, which is plugged in the smart phone in the headphone jack. Both the helicopter, as well as the transmitters have a built-in rechargeable battery that needs to be charged before use. Now, however, only a charging cable with USB adapter included. In plain language, that both components only can, but never simultaneously or sequentially load.

Robustness:
During my first flight tests in the apartment that thing had pretty plugging what. It slapped at the ceiling, from there several times admittedly quite unceremoniously on the floor, brushed ceiling lights and clothes in the cloakroom and survived everything completely intact. Even falls from a greater height from the ceiling of the school's multi-purpose hall put the thing away. The small Brumsel can quite something from.

Application:
For outdoor use the heli is due to its low weight, totally unsuitable, unless it is absolutely no wind, then maybe. But that part is kind of easy because enough of Pups a housefly to catapult the thing from the flight path.
In the apartment I playing has not really prepares fun with the thing. Funny that's maybe in a spacious old apartment in an Art Nouveau house with four / five meters high ceilings. But in our new flat slapped the thing, hardly that it had risen from the floor to the ceiling or to a lamp and because in such an apartment just a bunch of stuff around is, always to the inventory.
Before a staff meeting I went once with a colleague who is a child's head is how I exactly during the lunch break in our multi-purpose hall and I can fly that thing. Because it's fun, but who has access to a multi-purpose hall?

Operation and handling:
It's the gag on this thing that you can control it via his smartphone and does not need an extra remote control to do so. But that control over the smartphone makes handling not easily.
I send straight away that it may well be that I simply am too stupid, so as to control a helicopter via smartphone, as well as my friend and colleague, who is much younger than I, did quite hard with the thing.
We both had pretty great difficulties to bring the thing to a certain altitude and keep on what's important for animals as an indoor toy. First, one must look on how much "gas" the thing takes off at all, and it is then lifted times, it hissed us at once into the air and batschte on to the ceiling.
Similarly, the forward flight, the steering and controlling the flight speed. A reasonably precise control of the helicopter, we have not really hammer out both.
We then have the matter snacked with the automatic control system, ie by controlling the helicopter on pure movement of the smartphone. We will then have done to us even harder.
Conclusion for us: With a proper remote control with two joysticks that flying is as a Brumsel already much lighter and more accurate than using a smartphone app, because you hold the tax also detects the no resistance as with a joystick.

Flight duration:
Well ... after more than five minutes of fun is really over. We had not even turned on the light of Hummel. Until we had made us somewhat familiar with the thing, we have brought it no longer off the ground. And because the thing has a fixed built-in battery (clear at the size of the helicopter), is then only times past with fun.

Conclusion:
This thing is a real joke.
It grabs the helicopter a charge, the mobile phone has anyway always with you, then you pull the transmitter out of his pocket and plugs in him and lets the small to the great astonishment of all Heli off the ground. Cool.
In addition one also needs a place where the ceilings are not too low and where not too much furniture and Dekoschlunz rumsteht and is quite calm.
Precise maneuvers are my colleagues and I did not succeed with that thing. It brings the thing to fly and has fun - done.
As a gag Heli's perfectly OK
But who really with such a thing once outside want and feel like it has to land the device in the middle of the Black Forest gateau neighbor or whoever in the apartment would fly through doorway through from one room to another bird, is not with this Heli well served, because the control too vague, the range is too small and the battery capacity is too lousy.
I've also tried the app on my tablet (also Sony Xperia Z) to load, in the thought that I can control the helicopter so that better because everything is bigger. But that's not because the app does not fill the screen of the tablet and also can not pull out.
Not very long ago, this was Heli price of nearly 30, - available. For this money I would have said: "- Leg for as a gimmick too expensive still prefer something on it and buy yourself something clever Nööö, does not go!"
But for the current price of 15.99 I have to say - this is fun worth all!
