After unpacking erstmal a little disillusionment - is unsurprisingly a roll of compressed foam in which you will not get rid of the impression that they could acquire the hardware store for a fraction of the price. There are two posters that explain the exercises and a DVD that you can save if you have flown over the poster twice and moves of their own IQ above room temperature.
The first test repressed these considerations, however, quickly. I graduate usually 5-9 workouts per week with varying degrees of intensity and in this stint occurs without massage often a fatigue which then forces to reduce the training scope.
Until Blackroll I had always lured my friend with candy to make you feel my muscles took stricken. That had settled with arrival of Black Roll. The roles does the Knead the muscle groups and solving glued tissue very thoroughly (with your own body weight no wonder), and so the first attempts were associated with quite a pain, which, however, on the one hand less were with each rolling over and on the other hand also of Rollentag to Rollentag (I have Mondays and Fridays each interval a regeneration with the Blackroll) eased significantly.
The Blackroll works naturally much specific than this at a "real" massage is the case, that there is a large area rolled out rather than on individual nodules and hardening bodies to act, and you have to find out according to yourself, as you have to roll at the individual points most effectively to obtain the desired effect (but you can here as opposed to massage on the direct feedback based), but the effect is still very good.
Currently also occur with increased training on any fatigue is felt by the more supple fabric a better lactate reduction possible and the muscle groups burn - also felt - very effectively.
So why "only" four stars?
- The feeling that you would get the Blackroll cheaper from a hardware store, can not repress: the price / performance ratio of 30 euros for a piece of foam appears but slightly inappropriate and one can assume that the manufacturer even at 67% yet sufficient profit would generate
- The standing exercises appear in a direct comparison with those lying far less effective because
- The Blackroll looks better, the larger the to be worked muscle group is, ie the legs, it is really good (which appeals to me as a cyclist, of course), but the shoulders and back and arms to "scooters" at least seems to me slightly pointless before
Conclusion: the Black Roll is an effective self-massage device for large muscle groups and works - at least for effective use of one's own body weight - very good. The high price in relation to the perceived value of the product and the bad effect on smaller muscle groups leading to the minimum depreciation but anyone who is in training, especially on the use of the legs, I can recommend the Blackroll in principle without hesitation.
Here is just some information dared: I am because of my stature for the Pro version, which should be slightly harder, decided. If the "Blackroll original" is still soft, the hardware store impression is likely to be overwhelming.
