Looking at the pure playing time, ie the time squatting to ride it to the screen, it is more than just a demo, can certainly compete with full price games.
Current playing time is not reached by the completion of varied missions, but by hours trying with the same truck, more than bronze - sometimes even just Bronze - to achieve. Eben typical Gran Turismo motivational principle. Since then falls unfortunately quickly that there is not just a few lines, but that it also are visually unattractive (except London and Eiger North Face).
I have been following the GT series since the notice of part 1 on the PS1 with enthusiasm - although with decreasing. It can not really be that such things as band slippage, opponents use as a battering ram, etc. still work the same way as in the first part ...? But - and this is a disappointment for me, because on the one hand care you look at even the smallest detail, the driving behavior of simulated extremely realistically, on the other hand you can - do not have to but of course - without total loss or at least the smallest scratch bands along shredding. With "Real Driving Simulator" that has nothing to do: that is arcade racing.
A "half" Disappointment is the graphics for me. Although the presentation, the trappings in GT5 Prologue very successful. One can almost smell the smoky engines. But the rest holds as not to: GT has always been the graphics benchmark for all other PlayStation titles. The graphics of GT5 Prologue convinces me not really. 4 years ago, it would have been okay. But such things as (though rare but existing) Popups, strong edge flares and extremely unloving bitmap textures or cardboard figures on the roadside, I would not have expected from a former graphic figurehead of Playstations.
Nevertheless offers GT5 Prologue for a few hours successful entertainment.
Thanks to its attractive price, there is a star more from me. So I can recommend buying.
