I use this wrist strap to DSLR cameras of different sizes (Canon EOS 600D, Canon EOS 6D, Canon EOS 5D Mark II). Typically I carry my camera around in his hand with me and I have the supplied neck strap wound on this occasion around the wrist. This relatively complicated procedure saves me a few weeks ago now, these wrist lanyard. It is made of very soft material and weighs very little. So far so good. Far more important, however, seemed to me the question of whether the plastic carabiner can brake in case of quite heavy camera or take this opportunity to lose his footing, or even breaks. Therefore, I have a 2-kilo weight (equivalent to larger DSLR with a telephoto lens) mounted on the camera side, fastened the wrist strap on your wrist and then allowed to multiply the weight drop. The system survived this procedure without any problems and now enjoys my full confidence. Under real conditions, I have never in any case dropped a camera. After initial skepticism, I have to say that just the carabiner usability significantly increased: One can remove or attach the wrist strap so quickly. This is what I use when yet again a larger belt is required, I then affixes on the tripod screw (by the way I am using this model: Sniper-Strap "The Pro" camera strap (steel rope, ball bearing screw connection) black). From my system therefore gets (especially for this price) unrestricted buy recommendation. What is your impression of the wrist-strap?
