Those looking for a solid continuation of Dead Can Dance tradition, is well advised with this album. As usual, is dominated by the incomparable voice Lisa Gerrards forever young and forever old over a time rhythmic, sometimes meditative quiet instrumentalization. Unfortunately, the album suffers but at a, I think, old Dead Can Dance weakness: you can listen to a wonderful selection of individual songs, a voice in itself plate comes not materialize because of the easy-to-different song atmospheres. That L. Gerrard example in "Human Game" is a nursery rhyme-like Meldodie with even sings English lyrics, bites almost directly with the subsequent dark-choralaartigen "The Circulation of Shadows". One is those who (like me) especially liked the quiet meditative pieces of Dead Can Dance, still highly recommended: The song "Sacrifice" is by far the most amazing thing I've ever heard of Lisa Gerrard as a singer. Along with the beautiful harmonies and subtle background leads the arabeskenreiche voice slowly to a climax around from there (almost can be said purified) again to sink. Rarely so ewtas belongs.
