What I also super find of the processing is that processed the strap metal is (nothing worse than cheap plastic strap that always break in the long run) and that the cable is on one side only in the headphones, because you have so less clutter and you in the dark more quickly able to distinguish right from left. However, the cable is plugged in like a hook, ie it does not yield and does not fall out when it occurs accidentally or rotates or stands up briefly (happens very often). There is also a special opening, similar to a gas cap at cars, rotate, snap, turn back and pull out. This of course is better in professional DJ headphones, since a thicker default port is used with an adapter, which is only inserted.
The sound is slightly oppressive, but this is intentional. As always, the sound for each is very subjective and the One is on bass, the other on heights, the next to stereo sound old-school, another turn on analytically neutral sound with little dB for ear protection, etc. I'd sound as in the bass range Stressing (broad, but not kick and quick as opponents of price-performance point: Pioneer SEM 721 ~ also around 50 euros, but cheaper processed with more frequency response), discreetly call in the middle of warm and in the high range. At an active stationören point of headphones is not as efficient as it is now, for example, a Pioneer SEM-721 with 1 watt RMS driver and more highs, but the sound is somehow more pleasing than in hissing, screeching highs, the more burdensome in the long run for the ear in the long run are, as the low frequencies. I ask anyway all profiles to the respective headphones - the JBL 55 just needs a bit more to be raised at about 20-80 Hz, 180 Hz at a bit down (more kick bass Ender, not so wabbernd and übertünchend so the centers and the highs better advantage coming) and then from 3000Hz to 14000Hz needs to be raised somewhat since the highs are a little too dull and who go will rausholen weak sources even more, which then provides even the highest frequency up so then the Hihats or cymbals and guitar plucking etc. heruasstechen (the intricacies) better and so gives the impression that it would be loud.
I'm really gone through a whole series of headphones, from cheap to expensive (300 Euro limit) and always land actually in DJ headphones, although I know that these are the most uncomfortable headphones at all, but at least more pleasant to be borne, as the stopper, which you have to squeeze into the ear canal and where you can not even so incidentally, to the neighbor or friend an audition (disgust factor). And the maximum 40mm drivers that are installed in DJ headphones, get the best sound with enclosing cushions advantage. The whole force expires once even a hole in the seal is present (have already taken many headphones apart). Thus, the JBL 55 is ideal for mobile, weak sound sources such as smartphones or mobile phones. Here he has due to the low impedance more volume than other headphones, yet also comes to its limits, if you listen for active, stationary sources (but that's just unbearable for most people anyway, so rather noisy).
With wickedly expensive headphones of comfort has been phenomenal, but the sound too weak and there was no pressure in the basement. I think the ground like bass. I thought even the beginning that I better take a neutral tone, but in the end I'll always only the bass monster, because they have to have good housing and they can weaken in doubt yes and where the heights do not bring one's ears bleed. So classic, warm 80s Pop / rock / funk sound.
Anyone wishing to use a well-made headphones mobile as well as stationary (as efficient at little strong output signal), and rather is a powerful, warm, American stereo sound that does not focuses on heights, which is apart from the pressure on the cartilage the ears have a lot of fun. And since I'm stuck the same for this model in the series of headphones, because it offers a lot of value for money (especially in the mobile phone, the difference was very large to the other headphones - the mix sound / cost / processing / strength at different outputs), I had big problems to get hold of him at retail yet. He was very short in retail yet, about a 4-6 months and I caught only a demonstration for about 40 euros, because all sold out. That says it all - I tick just as the mass (including hundreds of euros to spend more if it will not fit?). The headset can not be bad so if he has sold so well. I find it downright shame why price-performance headphones always be taken off the market while overpriced branded products (the brand that is advertised everywhere for about 3 years ...) that nothing can be better (often bad), so unnecessary are long broadly on the shelf, where I always walk by anyway.
For 50 euros you do nothing wrong here. Nevertheless, I would test especially in the long terms comfort. Best longer than 45 minutes even hear. The upholstery is leatherette upholstery (but everywhere), that is not at the very beginning back again, because I have always used with other manufacturers about half a year, to have adapted to the anatomy of the ear cushion. If that's the case, the headset is worth 5 stars. 4 only because it is a bit uncomfortable at first, and the highs would be a bit "brighter".
