I have long back and forth sets to bring the Kamerea back and take a Panasonic FZ28. In general I like it from the handling, operation and performance is very good. The images were for me in a good quality. Some of them I have set you, and hope that it helps you in at your decisions.
To judge the picture quality, you would fairly times specify the Program mode. A neat photograph already requires since the Erfindnung this always an interplay of light and time. Everything is different, must be technically influenced (by ISO, flash or artificially). Whoever speaks of noise and dark images, you should also say under what circumstances the photos were taken.
In single-shot mode, the camera is for my amateur sensations super good pictures. All other images were sharp in my opinion and had good color. Noise occurred from sensitivities of more than ISO400. Until ISO400 I find the noise behavior negligible. ISO800 makes more useful images, an FZ28 makes here but a slightly better figure, but is more aggressive front in the post. The FH20 noisier, but reserves for more detail. ISO1600 should be avoided.
The high-speed night mode that combines several quick shot images into one image, working with ISO800 (may be limited). A normal night scene in automatic mode also works with ISO800 and makes the noise behavior hardly any differences. Only a little more detail sharpness is achieved through the HighspeedNachtodus. You can limit the camera at ISO400, where no high-speed night mode the images would only blur, but get out of here interssante shooting in.
On occasion, of course you can set the camera on a tripod. This fairly well recognized by the camera in Highsppednachtmodus and then exposed longer at ISO to 100-250. Who wants to play it safe, then hat still the possibility to set everything manually.
In the burst shooting it may well come to underexposed images. This however, only when there is insufficient light is present. If for technical reasons because the Casio wants to be fast and allows a maximum shutter speed of 1 / 30sec. Slow shutter speeds would delay the series. Since the Casio can not compensate for a lot with ISO 400/800. With enough light, like daylight (even on cloudy days) but that is no problem. Only in buildings should then possibly go to the Flash CS mode.
If enough light is also normal burst mode, in my opinion, very good pictures, which are eye taken depending on the outside light with ISO100. The settings 30-40B / s let my feeling in adverse lighting conditions before verliehren something to focus. I set my camera to 10B / s and let 15Bilder button pressed halfway advance record (everything can be set as desired). This makes it possible for me to wait for a child's smile, but also on holiday with skiing and tobogganing I super can take snapshots. Too early or too late imprints as for still images can not happen here. The camera could be the way carry comfortably the ski jacket.
In Flash CS mode in photos with objects from the near distance, seemed a bit overexposed photos to me. That worked better in single-image mode. With a little distance the flash is lit but good, but this should not be too big again.
Continuous blocks were stored between 9-10 sec. (4 GB SD HC SanDisk Ultra III). At the time the camera was not "accessible", pointing to the display "Wait" to. My biggest gripe, the problems of the auto focus with decreasing light intensity are paired with increasing zoom. Please do not misunderstand. Small example: the Casio had focused a cat evening with dimmed light with 200mm into fur do not get. Only when the cat looked in the camera and the Casio had to focus the eyes, it worked. Something expected in this price range really does not happen again, because it delude cheaper cameras from Panasonic (FZ28), Fuji (S8000) or Kodak Zoom cameras that do it. The video mode is rather unimportant for me, denoch to note that there are limitations when zooming during recording. You can either optical zoom, then no sound, or only digital zoom with sound. A combination of optical zoom with sound is not offered. Since Casio should rework again and leave the decision to the user. Especially when shooting without sound anyway reworking the soundtrack may be required and this would be possible with existing sound with noise. The silent movie zoom mode makes no sense in my eyes.

There were a few things that I found inconvenient, making the camera but in itself not bad.
- When the camera still image shooting requires the flash, it locks and does not fire until you flip out the flash or the Biltzmodus set to "flash off".
- Shortly after the zoom Casio needs a Kuze your mind until it can focusing. Pressing the shutter button after zooming too fast, it does not respond.
- The BS mode should to my mind with the dial. Casio has probably chosen the variant of the extra button, as this series mode can also be used in single-BS Modis. In the modes where this is not possible (eg night mode) of the serial mode is ignored by the action. However, this may happen that you want to switch to automatic mode, but is still in a BS mode. What I found very positive, was the handling of the camera and its possibilities. The camera has not oodles buttons and for a clear menu structure, which quickly leads one to go wherever you want. Spezille BESTSHOT Programe (landscape, portrait, sports) are precisely adjusted soon as a change in the time, aperture or manual mode. And you can adjust the camera relatively individually and must not tolerate many restrictions in automatic mode. Those were always things that bothered me at Panasonic or Canon.
Specify the power consumption I find difficult. On vacation with intensive use, brought me a set Ansmann eMax about 2.5 days' journey. Number of pictures I can not deliver, because I like and often use the burst mode. So I can definitely come to 4000 images or more frames per Accusatz, but this would be unobjective. Rather, I'm still thinking me sometime it out a DSLR for special occasions alongside fetch (better noise performance, external flash for bounce flash, manual focus ring).
