To the individual features I need here but really nothing more to say, because in other reviews already enough has been written about it. In my view, both excellent e-reader, which are absolutely equal in all my important points are: Eye-friendly, operator comfort, reading quality, portability ... technically there is neither the one nor the other to complain about something, and the pure reading pleasure, I must really say it I do not care if I pick up the Kindle or Sony, I do both equally and have absolutely no preference.
So I can those who do not know what they should choose, just guessing: Does it depend on the format in which the books are that want your download you mostly!
And that was exactly the reason why I have but also buy the Sony Reader at the end of now. I am an absolute frequent readers read both German-language books as well as books in English, French, Italian and Dutch; the selection of ebooks from Amazon is still unmatched, especially in English-language books can be found through the links to the Amazon stores the Anglo-American language area a huge selection especially also really cheap or even free books. The ability to look at Amazon, even under the English-language books by category is also just as useful as the Amazon recommendations on the personal side - a huge treasure trove where I could rummage with growing enthusiasm for hours!
Unfortunately, I'm reading too sometimes love books in other languages - and as you get with Amazon and thus with the Kindle not very far. Well, and why now had finally still the Sony Reader ago. So I can at * beep * * beep * and * beep * or even with just download and read ebooks in the non-Amazon Kindle format, or I can browse directly in Dutch, Italian and French ebook stores and directly from there download (and I'm going but always shocked by the partly hefty prices of eBooks and needing improvement, search and Flushing options - because our neighbors have still some catching up on the eBook market ...)
So be it, the Sony Reader I have now just the possibility of non-Amazon books to read, and if there's a book times both in the ePub format and for the Kindle, and both cost the same, then I can not think the choice difficult where I buy ebook and on which I device is to read it, because again as the quintessence: I think both Reader absolutely equal, and if I read a book on the Kindle or the Sony Reader is really for me Jacke wie Hose , both are fine.
I would therefore give the Perplexed the recommendation, to look closely at the online book shop of their choice, as the decision Kindle or Sony is now times (unfortunately) also opting for the ebook selection of Amazon or of competition. So where is the undecided more books of their choice? With whom he wants in his future Ebooks (exclusively! This is because the problem ...) download? Because that's the key question. And if it so we go to me that he is happy alone with either the Amazon selection alone even with the competition selection, which is how I sooner or later cursing bite the bullet and both readers must specify.
Or you consider the same, instead of two readers perhaps zuzulegen a tablet and then just but also to indirectly via various apps to read books in all formats - for me as a frequent reader but that was not an option, the e-ink technology Kindle and Sony Reader are flat but the reading and eye friendly alternative for hours of reading.
A word to PDF files, it stays that way or as a vexed issue that could be solved by either of the two (or other readers) so far satisfactory. But only to supplement, for it is precisely because of these problems are anyway less and less frequently encountered Ebooks in PDF format.
