There's only once the price. Even a simple desoldering station costs around 60 euros.
Then the design. In a desoldering I am always me own way. Because the extraction "installed" at the pump (instead of separately, as in stations), I can not get tangled in cables and hoses and / or need to change the tools.
It works. Actually very good. The condition is a lead time of ten minutes in which the pump can heat.
The environment around the handle area around a bit warmer, but is by no means in the vicinity of "hot". The temperature of the tip remains equally high, which is a good progress secures, but is not suitable for piecework. The tip cools, when you're working too fast.
Assuming that the pump for desoldering defective parts will be used, and not to replenish their own stocks of parts, I could find no disadvantages.
The "Altmittelbehälter" (the yellow part of the pump) is large enough to work long hours may, without clean or shake out the device must.
To clean the yellow container must be clipped by its holder, which probably not succeed the first time :). Basically, describing the brief instructions on the package not wrong, but the proposed location where you want to start the fingertip ... so there is little leverage. If you try it there, the whole apparatus is torn with momentum from its holder and distributes spring supported in all directions.
I manage myself, by first fädele a cable tie around the lower end of the piston rod and the piston then let engage. Now I prefer straight (!), Slowly (!) And evenly (!) To the cable tie, and always in the direction of the yellow release button. I look on the button, I pull the cable tie to me. Just. Slowly. Evenly. If you have once understood how this thing is actually attached, then it works "pulling" from the second time properly.
Whether you close the cable tie before drawing or not, I leave every self. Who has to a cable tie to little meat to touch, use just two. Instead of cable ties also is everything that is sufficiently flexible but not resilient, stable and to "pack" well being. So no rubber ring for jars :) But a strip of cloth, for example.
The cleaning itself is not an issue. Tapping, short check if everything is out there, that's it. The parts, which seal the yellow tube upward, can be disassemble. The whole story is a locknut held, which is almost certainly covered with Lötzinnresten. I use to clean the silicon spray on the piston rod, the gasket and the spring. So far no effect on operation of the pump or components thereof. The desoldering tip is and will * actually * always free. If necessary, I use to drill out the top a thick copper wire. Alternatively, a large paper clip.
The black plastic smells like rubber. So it smells when you turn goes to the trunk :) And that smell is a possible indication of toxins. As Stink I would not describe it. And when I pump the smell intensified even during operation. Who does not want to live with, need a tool with GS mark.
But hey! In anything you have to die yes :) Bottom line, a great part of the money.
Anyone interested in the use of the tool, found on Youtube a short video of agrupe. The keyword is "desoldering with heated pump".
