A small omnivores with little quirks ...

Have bought the CD radio for a holiday trip. Small it should be so that it fits in your hand luggage and should also be able to play MP3s. Now, after a blunder at Grundig I have come to the HAV PRCD20 of King. On the internet you found any reviews about this device, so I ordered a pig in a poke. Yesterday it came and I've tested it extensively immediately.

Packing:

The device is packed in a normal box with some styrofoam inside. The package includes a CD radio, a remote control, a power cord and a multilingual user manual. Remote control batteries are missing.

Appearance:

Visually, the device make a good impression. The processing is for this price range absolutely fine. The buttons on the front are made of a transparent plastic and below you will find the button symbols. It looks classy and the symbols rub not with time. This I know from the devices with printed button symbols differently. The cover for the USB and card slot is something lapperig. You have to use both hands to this again to close. The case makes a stable impression. Nothing squeaks, creaks nothing. The remote control also makes a good impression and fits comfortably in your hand.

Function:

The unit is quite loud for its size. The sound is clean and after pressing the Bass button, the sound is a little more dynamic. When looking at the unit but turning up fully, the Lautsprächer be overridden. But that is for each device so that I had had so far. At a moderate level and at lower, drawn basses housing hums sometimes something. But that does not happen often and does not bother me so much when you consider the size and the price. Then one makes the volume just a little quieter. As for the MP3 function, all my MP3 CDs were easily recognized and played. All without long waits. Just my 8 GB USB stick from SunDisk was recognized and my Noname 2 GB SD card.

Negative things:

What I like less is the fact that on the radio, even the buttons are missing in the folder change the MP3 Album. On the remote control but they are available. If you do not have the remote control this, you have to fast-forward the whole hundreds of songs with the fast forward / song change key. That's annoying. Then an error in the volume control I still noticed. Apparently, the regulators operate on the device and on the remote control independently. When I set the volume on the device to silent, I can no longer louder with the remote control, but only make it quieter. Conversely, the same way. When I put the remote control at a low, I reach the volume control on the device is no longer full volume. But I have found a workaround. If I want to use the remote control, I make the volume on the device as loud as I want to have a maximum, and regle thereafter only with the remote control. When the power off and on again, the volume returns to normal. The set of the remote control the volume level is not saved. So a loss of the remote control except the folder changes do not mind.

Conclusion:

Despite small faults I am very satisfied with the purchase and can also recommend this unit. It is ideal for the kitchen, for the bathroom, or to take a trip or vacation. Overall a satisfactory device.
