But the barriers never worked properly, and I would have guessed based on how the packaged watched: all torn and tattered as it was saved from the trash and not as it was a newly purchased product.
Barriers arrived on two different days and I have installed as such. The first (that of the broken transmission) was faulty because it never remained well vertical. I think the hinge system was broken or something. Second, the weight of the mattress was not enough to hold it up, and so even the slightest push my 10 month son would fall on the side. If you think a thicker mattress would improve the situation, you would be wrong that the barrier is not too high and you would end up unprotected.
I thought I would improve the situation, but the fixing of the two barriers with some tension cords that I would put under the mattress to keep the barriers to slip. I was wrong. The hinges finally gave up and barriers are both broken.
In conclusion: I would not lose money on a product that has so many design flaws and obviously manages to offer the protection it claims it does.
