The ribbon tweeter is more transparent and a little more neutral than its silk dome equivalent, and above all it still tired a little less ears than the original ancestor who was at 5x the price. good stereo image and we have a true monitor that clearly shows the mix of errors is obtained while providing a comfortable listening that can flatter a little hifi way by boosting the bass / treble.
If you hesitate between a serious HP 6 or 8 inches, there is no hesitation to have, for music prefer an 8 ", there are only reporting for audio / video a 6" or less is sufficient unless you have multiple monitors, which I deprive myself because the music is not my job.
The vent panel allows these speakers virtually stick to a wall, but they work just as well and more free investment su foot home. My 25m2 office, they deliver enough power to overpower the room and do not heat. The sound image remains stable at low and high power. A good finish is to RDV, especially if one takes into account the low price.
In comparative listening, they place themselves in my opinion far above the Yamaha HS8 and the KRK series. A close competitor are the Prodipe Pro Ribbon 8 (too bright / hifi for my taste) but the Behringer lack the reliability problems of the past.
I use it for over two years and I'm very happy, their only fault is probably little they emit breath at rest, a little more than the Genelec but unless HS8 example. One might consider the brand as a second fault and I would not put them in a commercial studio for this reason; but they have quite a place at home or in a good home studio performance level because they crush the competition and will require at least to double their prices to start to get a little better.
