The following Bendzko then switches before a gear and focuses on slower songs, but the more rhythmic and instrumental penetration remains a central theme of the disc. Lyrically he is used heavily with very thoughtful, always surprising and very personal lyrics, but leave a lot of room for interpretation and feelings. This emotional access to his lyrics was in my opinion a key success factor of his career, and this is him also on "Hanging by a Thread" again an outstanding success.
Who can convince both textual brilliance as well as compositional and musical quality, which are in addition to the aforementioned entry song yet "without looking back to see" and "be light" and of course the title song of the album, which is also the current single, the Play recommended.
Criticism there is still, even if the whining at a high level is: I would have liked a little more compact body of work, 14 songs are a bit too much material, especially but especially in the second half of the CD one way or another mediocre number is included on you could have done without the benefit of the overall impression. And the mix, I find a little too vocal-heavy, as you would have the instrumentalisation quiet may move a little further forward. But these are trifles total. "Hanging by a Thread" is an absolutely great album and makes already wanting more Bendzko.
