At first I was skeptical! How so to prevent the tearing of the cutting edge a small Plastkteil ?? But it works well. The tearing is greatly reduced. This is the anti-splintering plastic, it's also nothing when times rankommt the blade. Very skeptical I was when using a Bosch Speed Wood Sheet. Look through his very coarse teeth that also left and right of the cut line .... but it worked great. Although the anti-splintering device is a little hard purely in the base plate, but holds great. Also anglecuts go with a fine blade. I use the splintering of a Bosch PST650
