Then, the fact of adding a charging port is really a great idea, especially since it delivers an intensity of 2,4mAh, as much as wall chargers of mobile manufacturers, which can charge up to 5 times faster than your smartphone if you had plugged into a standard USB2 port.
The other advantage of having a USB charging port, is that it can charge a device without the latter is found connected to the computer, which sometimes impossible for them to use while charging .
Which is great and frustrating at times, is the RJ45 input.
If you have a PC (under Windows) that does not have network card, you can simply connect the hub to it and take a RJ45 cable between your modem and your Hub. No configuration required and presto, here with a PC connected to the wired network. This hub operates as an RJ45 adapter - USB!
Why I say it is frustrating? Because, unfortunately, it does not work on Linux or Mac.
I am already looking forward to be able to release a Thunderbold port on my MacBook Pro, I found super disappointed me (which is why I confiscated a star until Mac drivers appear).
This does not prevent that for the price, it really is still a great deal.
My reading / writing tests:
Hard Drive USB2: 41Mo / s
Hard Drive USB3: 106Mo / s
Another detail that I enjoyed: it is very stable and devices are connected to the top (as you can see from the product picture).
Other extras: the switch which cuts the power supply, the cable supplied USB3 is very well made, the instructions in French, its power can charge any devices, even tablets, ...
In conclusion: go ahead, it's a good deal. And if you're on Windows, it becomes a case of gold!
