I have the DS214 + with 2 plates WD40EFRX a 4TB Western Digital for 8 weeks in operation.
Everything is just as perfect as I could have hoped for from this combination. The DS214 + is purring softly to himself, and the plates reflect each other. All my data is stored perfectly and by all (it must) accessible.
If there is a problem (had a power outage) are, the DS214 + reports via email and reports. Just when viruses (I had not yet, thanks to the "own" the scanner) or similar things.
I have another external hard drive that I turn only to secure my data and secures one more time, just in case. The external Festpaltte I turn on only when capped Internet connection and only after I have made a complete scan. So (plate ext.) Is all stored (DS214 +) and secured
