Technically and visually high-quality 5-Port HDMI Switch, optimal addition of eg Logitech Universal Remote Controls

My old LCD TV has two drawbacks, on the one hand only 2 HDMI inputs, no way to specifically go to the other with a button on a specific input for me.
This often causes problems when working with Universal remotes such as from the Harmony series of Logitech. When switching between sources such as media players on satellite receiver is changed using the remote control at the AV receiver audio input of the television and at the image source.
In the TV but that's often not possible directly, but you go by means of a button from any source, to the right is reached. So the number of keystrokes depends on the current source. This is almost impossible to program with the remote control.

With the switch is no longer a problem. There are also 5 different remote control buttons for 5 inputs. These are the TV taught as a new key. The TV has now always the same source, and the switch is now using the HDMI switcher.
So an ingenious solution to these problems.

I can say that he is very well made to switch itself. Mix of brushed aluminum (rotating) and high-gloss plastic. Since you never actually touched the device after installation, I do not mind the sensitivity for fingerprints, too.

The connections are distributed as follows. Right input 1, behind 2-5 and left output. I just sometimes need the 4th entrance, me a back arrangement of the output connector would have preferred. So at least the HDMI cable to the TV side to join, which may be possibly disturbing.

The indicator for the selected input is on the front by a white LED behind a number of the input. The mounted on the front button, the inputs, regardless of whether the input just get a signal through. If only one input is occupied, happened four times nothing, since the input of the LED only lights up if a signal is present.

The detection of a new image source is working, it will be changed accordingly when a device is switched to the input. As already mentioned, the direct access via remote control also works flawlessly.

Unfortunately I can not test 4K and 3D, which are not here my old device.

Despite the small flaws I like to give 5 stars because they do not restrict the use of the device.
