Nikon D7100

I have the camera now a good week and would even give the first impression the best.
Originally I had now changed the D5100 in my possession and am on the 7100, and the difference is remarkable.
If you were used to a 95% finder then a while looking through the viewfinder of the D7100 already another world going on, because this is really ausgezeichnt and also the OLED marking I regard as a success.

Quality and workmanship I feel personally for a camera in this price range as properly and I do not know what you could do it better / should, moreover it fits comfortably in the hand and a comfortable grip develops sofort.Auch the dimensions of the camera straight away are as I would wish this on my hand size, not too big and not too small, but this criterion must eventually and ultimately decide for themselves.

The operation of the camera is more or less intuitively, who already owns a Nikon or ever had a will quickly find your way around the basic functions. Although the look at the manual is certainly not out, but you should after briefly studying desselbigen know where everything can be found.

Now for the most important and although the image quality:
I have several images now made with different settings and lenses, including the 50 / 1.8G and the 16-85 VR and must say this is the quality in detail, sharpness and brilliance notch. As already mentioned, this impression is linked to my subjective experience and not under laboratory conditions resulting images or measurements.

The highlight of this camera is the sensor with 51 AF areas and I feel it is a sheer delight to fotgrafieren so, also because because the cover that very well goes over a large part of the visual field. In addition, the use of 1.3 times Zusatzcrops is an interesting Gimick. Also the AF must be here again mention praiseworthy, he's really very very fixed and fail, I think every user of this device will have its calls his own pleasure.

A few things I consider, however, as not so successful, such as the ISO button, the second from the bottom in the series, since it would in my opinion have been desirable this further up or down to Insert. Also, the somewhat wobbly rotary multi selector I find improvement, and the fiddly release of the lower small dial to the left shoulder side would have been a little different shapes can.
All in all, this points but wailing at a fairly high level and should not really worthy to be in the long run in practice.

Short initial conclusion:

An absolutely first-class camera in DX format in my opinion, after its price is absolutely worth it. Image quality, sensor and AF are at the highest level and making probably the top in this segment. So for me, a strong buy recommendation!
