I am professionally often "outdoor" go and therefore need a robust data storage.
Since USB flash drives have enough space and I had no desire to always carry around several of them, I've been looking specifically for "outdoor" HDDs and'm "stuck" at the Adata HD710.
My copy is clean / well made (the envelope must be nowhere nachgeklebt) and was recognized by all the computers on which I used to date immediately.
You is not the fastest (via USB 3 about 80-90 MB / sec write), but quietly and remains even after prolonged continuous operation pleasing cool (40 degrees C, measured with CrystalDiskInfo).
What bothers me a bit, which is -at least fiddly / stiff closure of the USB ports on my Specimen. The space provided rubber flap occasionally jumps up again.
Very good, I like the storage ability of the USB cable. A clever solution!
Because of fumbling with the USB-closure "only" 4 stars from me .....
