One of my external 2.5-inch drives had a sudden catastrophic failure, which the assumption suggesting that it was the controller and not the drive itself. Bought the adapter mentioned, connected plate and everything was accessible. By USB3.0 support the disk is faster than it was even a USB 2.0 version.

Also good - the blue status light flashes red for access.

At first I found the additional accompanying rubber sleeve superfluous, but if you have to work in cramped conditions, the next table or casing edge is just centimeters away, the panel may need is not their own, then the shell is very useful

I would highly recommend the investment of 12.99 very.

Currently, the board is running together with the adapter cable as a NAS drive on my 7490 Fritzbox.
