Material and Verbeitung
Like almost all mobile phones mainly made in the meantime, made of plastic. But he makes a good impression. Overall fit and finish is good.
Display
The display is a big selling point of the Xperia J. With 4 inches and a good resolution he exerts great head turner and is very sharp. It is relatively stable perspective and also very bright, especially in contrast to the competitors mentioned above of me. The colors and contrasts are well reproduced;
only the green colors are highly saturated and therefore exaggerated. This is perhaps the only negative aspect of the display. Oh yes, he is the way, the way of Gorilla Glass, which is supposed to be very stable indeed. Above the display is the way a small LED, which provides information on the battery charge status and incoming messages or missed calls.
Integrated hardware and Perfomance
The 1 GHz processor together with the 512 MB main memories had given me a little headache, since a dual core with 1GB of RAM is almost already standard. But what can I say. For response to my duties (see my introduction above), it is perfectly adequate. The mobile phone runs very smoothly and has an overall snappy feel. Only in the Opera browser by entering the Android keyboard is a bit slow. The typed letter appears somewhat sluggish in the search window. That's only in Opera so, I've found. Write SMS messages and e-mails is very fast out of hand. Since I love to hear good MP3s, I was pleased that Sony has installed the Walkman app here. This can be operated very well for the MP3 collection and also has a decent Kland in conjunction with a good set of headphones. Since my Gio could not keep up.
The GPS module reacts as the Tipo also very fast, and has determined my position in Google Maps within about 20 seconds. Of the internal 4GB of RAM can be about 2.5 GB for its own data, in particular, I would like to mention here the apps use. For everything else, the SD card slot is indeed available.
Incidentally, it is also different lighting effects for the notification of new SMS or emails or calls set. For this, however, you need the app "Illumination Bar Notification". Thus, it works very well. Shortly to the camera. This makes photos that you can need for snapshots; nothing more. HD video can not be recorded with the phone. But that interests me very much because I really have for a few good cameras.
The battery lasts at least my usage behavior. 2.5 days through. Mostly currently, after seeing the gimmick (as with any new device just) have set, even three days.
Software
The phone will re-supplied with many pre-installed apps, but leave completely runterschmeisen the mobile part. I think that's very good.
Otherwise me the graphical interface from the Xperia J like it very much. Sony has also included here by the way some very nütliche Apps. For example, Smart Connect or save energy.
So, now to the conclusion:
The Sony Xperia J is intended for people who mainly have to do without very long socket or want. The 1 GHz processor conserves namely the energizer. However, the use possibility of the Xperia J by the "relatively simple processor" somewhat restricted. For everyday tasks (SMSs, emails, ETAS surfing, listening to music, calendar and contacts Manage ...) extends the built-in hardware of all, and also the operation is quick of hand (I have no stuttering so far found). Simpler games work perfectly, but who wants more, should a mobile phone with dual core CPU access (the consequent höhreren energy consumption and). The display of the Xperia J is another plus; bright, high-contrast and sharp. Only the green color tones will exaggerated saturated. I would buy the Xperia J at any time and there may be 100% (for the aforementioned group of persons) to recommend.

- Price a bit too high for the installed hardware
Oh, it should be mentioned that the SAR value as opposed to the other Xperia mobile phones is still very bearable. Namely, it is only 0.73 W / Kg. This is a very humane value for Sony mobile phones ....
Edit from 22.01.2013 !!!!!
After my touchscreen display often was completely blocked, I was annoyed about the very Xperia J. I've tried all sorts of solutions, from the multiple new installation until the device is reset. Nothing helped. I hit me in various forums around, and asked many questions. Nobody could help concretely. Until I came across a few postings regarding incorrectly applied screen protectors. Here it was made clear that an excessive or misplaced screen protector, perhaps even touched the edge of the cell phones, the touch screen completely block or at least can interfere massively. So I created this film away, and some cut and lo and behold: The mobile phone funzt properly again and the display does no funny business ......
