The passenger (Paperback)

Customer Review

Having already read "The Oath of Limbo" (which I loved) and "The black line" (which disappointed me), I approached this new book Grangé with interest, having read here and there that EC- last gave up a creepy / gore history in favor of a psychological thriller. What a slap! Probably one of the best books I have ever read. I wonder how can one imagine such a scenario, with so many twists and ramifications that make sense at the end of the story ...
If the first 100 pages are a bit 'slow' (the book is nearly 1000 pages and we understand it takes time to introduce the characters), the rest of the story devours. Only downside (but is it really one?) The last lines of the book were more than predictable. Conclusion: to emergency advisor for all thriller fans!

Note that "The Passenger" has been adapted in series by France 2 and will be broadcast stream 2014. Produced by Luc Besson, the character of Mathias Freire will be interpreted by Jean-Hugues Anglade and Raphaelle Agogué pitched the role of Anaïs Châtelet . If the series is at the height of the book, no doubt that success will be resounding!
