I think this set is before the "extension cord" the most important, because in the end it has a volume control. Especially since you can then also run every x any headphones with 3.5mm jack.
Personally, I am hard of hearing and find the headset as satisfactory.
Satisfactory "only" because I have a better and better know when it comes to speech intelligibility / have.
