Good Old John ...

You knock me off my feet again. After Live Concert 2010 in Mainz, I thought, for reasons of age, it could be that now the Zenit is exceeded. Although this concert was really top notch. Classic and beautiful solo songs were just so off the cuff. It was like a Woodstock concert. People (6-70 ... really ...) lay on the lawn or relax with dancing. Therefore, I have not really thought inwardly to an end. Vital and playful the latest releases on DVD (Coming Down The Road) and CD (Revival, Blue Ridge Rangers) are stuck in my mind.

Now for the coronation of this first-class new factory of my personal legend. Because inevitably come up old memories, although John Fogerty here demonstrates the courage to interpret the old classics! With a bevy of artists and his sons (see also the Live - DVD "Coming Down The Road") skin us John Fogerty "his" old CCR songs and a couple of subsequent pieces of his solo plates skillfully around the ears. Wow ...

The very brilliant rendition of "Fortunate Son" with the "Foo Fighters". You think you know everything already. But I have never heard it.

Then the wonderfully relaxed song "Who'll Stop The Rain" with peers legend Bob Seger. That reminds me chasing a shower after the other over the back.

Known campfire, traditional CCR - attitude, romanticized form of country and guitar-based rock, as I've always liked. I've already said so in the review of the CD "The Blue Ridge Rangers II". I have to confirm it again here. In this new work, however, with a little more "power" ... Especially as the contained on this CD two brand new songs "Mystic Highway" (6 minutes!) And "Train Of Fools" better not have been arranged in this direction. Bravo John ...

All songs are unusually powerful and vocally very well by John Fogerty (in most cases even with duet partner!) Implemented. Yet you feel at "home". Kid Rock also took the opportunity to cooperate in the About classic "Born On The Bayou". Fits ... How fist on the eye. This music I can once again play to my best friends who know then immediately who that is. And rub their eyes in amazement when they realize how good the music of CCR and John Fogerty today can still come across.

The band CCR has long been history, but which is held by Mr. John Fogerty to date authentically alive. This time with a high-caliber musicians selection.

One can only bow before this great music.
