Graphics / Technology: The graphics are solid for a successful Open World Game. However, one notices the blur here and there. Especially the vision is there a stigma. However, this is not quite as bad, because you most in downtown is on its way and it does not really stand so strongly here. Otherwise, the game runs smoothly at all times and I had in the 24 hours of play time not a single stuttering or crashing. Hong Kong acts as a unified whole and knows how to please. Correct wow effects, or places where you would like to be outside the mission sometimes, is not there, unfortunately.
Collision detection / AI: The AI is to put it mildly ill. It often happens that opponents are not looking for cover and a nice run in the muzzle flash. Even with the struggles we know after a time how the wind blows. So it creates Wei's without any major problems undergo 20 opponents flat, without a scratch.
However, the collision detection is really very bad. There are places that are only a few millimeters high, but Mr. Shen then partout not want to deal with this little hurdle. Often by small detours have to be taken into account.
Story: Big plus in Sleeping Dogs. The story is interesting twists, well-written characters and white has to please. Unfortunately, towards the end of frolicking attention to a few plot holes and the odd cliché is also there. However, the story has me here more packed than in GTA4.
What is a pity. Throughout the story Wei Shen gets to know several female acquaintances. With his friends he also has one or two side missions, but that was about it. Invite time for roast duck or a hot dog (these items can be found everywhere in the game) is unfortunately not possible. After 2 emissions can not do anything more with them.
DLC, micro-transactions: I have used in this game a micro transaction namely a package that ensures that I get additional 5000EP Triad points.
I am not a fan of this type DLCs, but it was so that I for Platinum Trophy; Level 10 had to have with the triads. In the end I had but only 9500 points. Unfortunately, it is difficult to get in any main mission every 3 Triad triangles. Since I now not again be bothered to repeat all missions to get to the last 500 points, I had to use this DLC unfortunately. This is not mandatory, but you will not escape the feeling that Square Enix here wants to earn a little extra bread.
Conclusion: I had my fun with Sleeping Dogs. The story grabbed me, the graphic was okey and the whole scenario I really liked. It is really a good GTA clone. However, considering the development time and in-game look at some buildings, where nothing happens Story technically, I do wonder whether something has been wasted on development time here. Unfortunately not go in the German version, the 2-story DLCs, so you have left out here. If this were not the case, I would like to give it 5 stars, as it has become a 4 star.
The sections in the game is satisfied that although they noticed me much, but I never really had the feeling that I was going to play an inferior version.
