out of network coverage, particularly 3G is significantly worse than any other phones that I had.
For example, my wife has a Moto G (1st Gen) and 0% "no power". At the same time at the same place with the same network this phone displays up to 33% without power and changes always between H (3G) and E (2G) back and forth.
This leads to significantly higher power consumption due to power search so shorter term.
Example: in the evening and the morning charged after about 9am the battery has only 83% without any activity (not always so).
Even with my Mobistel F4 Dual sim I have at home always 3G reception, with the Moto not.
And the reception is unfortunately one of the most important features about 2 star deduction.
What I knew before, but I am also wondering why this is due to:
My Mobistel phone costs just over 100 (much cheaper) and thus I can be called on the 2nd SIM card when I'm on the first straight on the phone (advantage for me: I see right away who is trying to reach me). In this mobile phone, the caller gets the call answering and I several minutes later a text message from the network operator that someone called.
While driving impractical, but I can live with.
Otherwise, I am quite happy:
* Reacted liquid display I like
* Bluetooth coupled with VW, works very well, also contact acquisition and playback of music stored on cell phone over the car.
* Automatic unlock the device via Bluetooth:
nice feature: when I pair the phone with the car remains unlocked (can be selected), helpful while driving
* Speaker surprisingly well
* Voice quality when making calls well, even over Bluetooth
* Battery life would probably be good if a network search would not use so much energy:
holds with me when usage is low max. 4 days ago, Moto G 1 gene holds 8-9 days, Mobistel holds about 8 days at low usage in the same place.
* Approximately 4.5 GB of internal memory for apps free (enough for me), data on SD card
* In normal operation speed ca. 300 - 400 MB of free RAM, about 400-500 is (considerably more than my Mobistel what makes do with 512 MB of RAM, but it also has 1GB of RAM)
* WLAN has good reception
* No problems with the SIM card
Small drawbacks:
* No charger, no headphones
* And the included USB cable seems intended purely to load, so no data cable
- Or my cable is broken - because the last penny is well saved
