Benefits:
- RAID1 (For data security but external media should still be available)
- Setting up the NAS is quick and very painless (Caution: RAID0 is default setting, those who value redundancy and data security must be equal to this change in the Initial Setup Raid1, subsequent Change means loss of data)
- DLNA server
- Quiet (fan when it is not running out of round, soft, sometimes virbriert the housing, with slight pressure turn off onto the housing)
- Data transfer rates of Gigabit: 20-25 MB / sec (write / read)
Disadvantages:
- DLNA server (In DTCP-IP function is activated very slow (PS3), or no playback of JPEG possible (LG TV) function can not be disabled, only after the firmware update may not be allowed that this function will be updated. As long as disabled, the display of JPEG is back to normal. Even the play DivX videos then works fine. I have not found anything yet that I can not play when this feature is turned off.
- Bittorrent client: we work the download, sometimes not (does not Seeds), has not found out to what it is.
- Web Interface is a bit "lame" but still acceptable
Not geteste functions:
- Web access
All Bittorrent client is useless in my opinion, in particular, for data storage and to use DLNA server well.
Who needs a cheap passable fast network storage: access, all others that wish to have the extra features that should rather leave it alone.
Possibly is improving all still with the following firmware updates.
For my needs, it is sufficient to have a redundant memory and a working DLNA server.
