I discovered Kenneth Cook with the wine of God's wrath, short dark, ironic novel, a real shot in the heart. Koala killer and other new bush is a collection of short stories that is in another area, that of fun. In these 15 new very short, narrated by Kenneth Cook himself, a writer in search of inspiration that poses as a journalist, just to make more serious. If the muses seem to flee the Australian outback, there are however quite a time of determined animals: an endearing koala (or attached), snakes of all kinds, including the trousers of a German tourist, crocodiles love, a well-trained camel ... oh yes, I forgot, more or less desirable natives. The narrator / reporter / writer and a bit awkward mix is found, by kindness, a favor, out of curiosity, out of stupidity or inadvertently in situations that do not lack salt or spice.
A force, 15 new on the same subject and in the same frame (though the falls are often unexpected), it might a little tired, but that's not counting the Kenneth Cook storytelling talent. If for me, koala ... The killer is not the height of the wine of God's wrath, he remains an honest Entertainment book which made for a nice little moment between two serious reading!
"If thoughts were able to cross my brain terrorized, they were to ask me if I was going to fall and die, be drawn into the vast desert and die, or face the breath again camel and die."
