Why?
As I have seen in Amazon the keyboard, I was very impressed first of them. "What a great concept," I thought. The layout of the buttons, lights, spacebar, etc. As such, intelligent thought ...
When unpacking the keyboard makes a very sophisticated look. Processing sees "first" properly (see below same reason 1), the buttons do from a processing perspective, a good impression and also the label I liked. All symbols, numbers and letters are legible. I can not say that about all keyboards, eg. As in the Logitech G510s it was not so, as I could barely make out the special characters such. B. (were held in some futuristic font) and the keys for the comma and period were almost identical. Even if I write with 10 fingers, sometimes I look forward to the keys and I also want to recognize all fast.
At the apex is the label properly. Everything legible.
Cable is OK (make a stable impression). Class I find the lighting (which has also attracted me). Very well thought out, because you can find the keys quickly intuitive.
The height adjustment is getting used to but really well thought out. The rear keyboard feet are each in the form of a plastic plug which can be removed. At the point then you put another Rubber Stopper (is included), whichever is higher. Even the keyboard is higher and still very stable and non-slip on the desk. A secure grip a steadfastness is also guaranteed, so no slipping. Overall, the keyboard has two Höhenverstellmöglichkeiten.
As for drivers, I can not write about this because I am not come to further test the keyboard. Why:
3 reasons that make in total the keyboard "for me" useless and unacceptable.
Reason 1: The keyboard has so far been the only one who is not just lying on the table. Tried it on more surfaces and repeatedly shaking it. Is simply warped. When typing these wobbles also repeatedly back and forth. I suppose it is a manufacturing defect, perhaps even unique, otherwise you read anything about it here.
Reason 2: The palm rest is bothersome. Why: either no or a right palm rest. When I write (10-finger) then are my hand edges just on the edge of the palm rest and it hurts in the long run. If someone does not write with 10 fingers, which perhaps may be OK. When writing with 10 fingers hands are, however, on the palm rest (at least for me :-) and at this keyboard then just due to the length of the palm rest (something shorter advised) exactly at the "edge" of the palm rest is not rounded, but has a hard edge. Extremely uncomfortable and my opinion, a design error. The palm rest can not be found even as firmly anchored with keyboard.
Reason 3: The keyboard stop I found to be extremely unpleasant. This is of course subjective, I try the writing feeling on the keys to describe with words:
- Hard keystroke (barely suspension when you press the button) and after pressing the key it is as if you land hard on the bottom of the keyboard with the recently pressed key.
- The keys are a bit more flexible than what I know so far when it pressures. So, as if the "are" relaxed slightly. Do not get me wrong, it's not as if the keys are loose. Only when you press somehow creates a feeling as if that would not sit so tight.
- The volume is uncomfortable for my taste. Does not sound muffled on, but rather by clacking.
Too bad, so a keyboard deserves in my opinion a better tactile feedback and a better writing experience.
I had here the Roccat Isku FX, who had a great keystroke (unfortunately only driver problems). Or the Logitech G510, also here a better keystroke. Even the Perixx PX-1100 that costs less stuff.
In total there were insurmountable drawbacks for me, which would exacerbate the work when writing in everyday life (80% Office / 20% Games). Its approach, I find the keyboard class and I hope the manufacturers remains and still is still working.
Then I would immediately my Logitech Illuminated Keyboard sell and buy these. The fact that the keyboard is warped, is certainly an exception (individual production error) and makes me less worried (flows only slightly in the review), but the rest are no-go's and unacceptable to me. Letter goes with me only with hand pain (palm rest), so useless.
