This is done now but not properly targeted, rather it verschlägt an often detours from a mini puzzle to the next, the basic idea of the story can be seen as no more than very loose thread. But what does not bother, the course is so fun and entertaining and it often gets so amazed that the overall story really is a minor matter.
The small tree heroes are just cute and lovable, even though they actually move neither great, nor communicate. Your acting is minimalist and their language is confined to a joyful "Yay" when solving a puzzle or bypassing an obstacle. And yet, I had to smile at each Yay, the joy of the little ones put simply. And that's an absolutely amazing performance I think.
The graph provides a Fre mix of simplicity and delicacy represents. What may seem like primitive and graphically overhauled on the first glance, given the modern facilities of today's gaming market, charmed upon closer examination anyone who opens it. In average adventure usually happens nothing if the player does not interact in any way with something or someone. By by failed rami of the tree flows here but water and all the leaves sway in the wind at the latest in contact, so that there is always movement, which probably also feel the vitality of the whole scenario takes place.
I admire the courage of the programmers to venture with such a game on the highly competitive gaming market, where the sales currency often rather loud, is faster and more colorful. The playing time may be a little short, especially given the quite high price, but you should so much courage and so an inovative idea just reward with the purchase. I can vividly imagine how many hours the programmers have put into the lovingly detailed animation of all parts of the tree and the tree being that one should recognize also, by not waiting with the purchase until the game sometime dirt cheap lands on the bargain counter. Because that has unfortunately long term that such gems disappear the result from the market, in the case of greed is not just cool ...
Conclusion: A game for drop-in ... This is just the right game for all those who enjoy a loving full graphics and mini-games to love in which loose flaky you can click through the puzzles and expect that necessarily almost intractable brain teasers which one seeks in vain namely here. Indeed, this is one of the very few games that I almost without exception to Grunschulkinder can (even without the presence of an adult) recommend. Firstly, because the puzzles do not overwhelm even the little ones and frustrate it, and secondly because Botanicula simply contains nothing bad and cruel, except for maybe the somewhat gloomy last section. One can only fear that the game some kids is too boring, after all, they (and we) today used another.
PS. The offerings of this limited first edition hardly worthwhile Meanwhile, the mini poster of the little hero is quite nice (with Deponia motif on the back) and the soundtrack as well, but one should consider rather than free gifts and not as an extra incentive to buy. Genial I would have found it if the game would have been the Pflanzset settled, which has received the press release to do so. Spruce seeds that would have taken exactly the mood of the game, like the heroes they planted a tree ... a pity.
