My requirements were:
- To a minimum, I still wear the phone on your belt, where the LG is just about acceptable
- Min. Kitkat so I can use Bluetooth 4.0
- It should be low (not because I can not afford a IPhone, but because I just do not one marriage, to pay more if I can have it for less money, what I want)
What I do not need:
- NFC
- Great Camera
- MP3 Player
- Games
My first impression: Super! The L40 is well made, very cheap (75 euros) and has Kitkat. By Android version 4.3 is larger, it may also use Bluetooth 4.0 and thus is also the planned interaction with a modern SmartWatch nothing in the way. And through the small display I expect also features low power consumption and thus a relatively long term extending through the SmartWatch hopefully increases (Then the display is still rare, and this is the biggest energy guzzlers, Bluetooth 4.0 takes almost nothing) I currently installed an app (aCalendar) and I no longer need on the phone. For everything else I have tablet, netbook or PC. Thus, I do not even need an extra memory card.
Very good, I like the Knock technology from LG with which you can unlock your phone by tapping code and a double "knock" on the status line can switch to standby again.
So if you are looking for a phone to make phone calls, Email and Calendar for the use and does not want to play great, can find an affordable alternative to self-Moto E. The camera I find not too bad despite missing autofocus / LED light. And despite almost identical dimensions as the Nokia E72, it's even a little easier (and with more than twice as large display ;-)
From me, saying a clear recommendation!
