The device is really big and very bulky through the grip belt.
The crank member can be put, but then is still on - so you have to have plenty allow space in the kitchen - also in the dishwasher (in the crank according to the manufacturer prefer not to) - the workspace or in the sink.
The quality is very, very high quality: A lifetime investment (classic wedding gift).
But this Rolls Royce of Passe Touts actually worth only in large quantities - for weekly gravy it is thus rather than motorized. Mashed potatoes goes well with a potato masher.
I have to advise them to use the device for spaetzle planing (with 8mm-hole insert).

We have tried them. Firstly, you would need 3 hands because repeatedly puts dough on the spatula and there also no longer wants to leave partout.
On the other hand remains decidedly too much dough back in the machine - which can be more difficult then clean: Because over the hot water pot, in which one hobelt the noodles, and the metal is so hot and the Spätzle bonded very quickly realized.
Praise should be said that the device the part of the dough, which it recognized, to very nice "Knöpfle" -Spätzle formed and cranks per se was also very easily (with a help for the 3rd Hand).

No comparison to a real Spaetzle: Also because you have to rinse the device Although immediately after use with cold water, but that is much faster and easier than in the Passe Tout. So also here: Who cooks huge amounts noodles at a time (where it's then not so bad, that a considerable part gets stuck in the machine), for it is worth it, for a normal family size but I recommend other devices.
For the slightly cheaper Amazon price we will keep him, have cleared him a very large trade in the kitchen, and are now curious how often do we get him out of this garage. It is made to last - that's for sure: This device is a purchase for life! Whether one uses it accordingly, you should think carefully beforehand.
