Positives:
The master himself, Benny Andersson produced the soundtrack and played the keyboards. He has his old musician friends rounded up, so that the music latches possible by ABBA in the film. This is in my opinion very successful. The songs are the sound and the arranged mostly on the originals, which is close actually the highlight of the film. The songs sound on the one hand by ABBA classic, while also modern and punchy.
Negatives:
Pierce Brosnan. I only say crowds - but for the soundtrack can also now nothing. I think it is now not even so bad that I do and Chiquitita, I do lack - in the film the pieces are indeed quite short and have more recitative character. So rather than dialogues right songs. Nevertheless, they would have been able to extend and can draufpacken - Finally the soundtrack is supposed to be considered rather than a pop album (also available in the booklet). (The songs are not so on it as they appear in the film, but as pop songs designed, without dialogue, but what I find very good!).
A great pity, I find that the songs that have been deleted for the film, are not on the soundtrack it. Finally, "The Name of the Game" also on it, although the song did not occur in the film. As might as "one of us", "Under Attack" and "Thank you for the Music" can still add thereto. (Although Thank you for the Music is a hidden track on it, but only the piano version that was played at the end of the film. The "correct" version of the musical is much more groovy.) 'D listen to be nice. Meryl Streep sings "One of us" ... after all, is still 10 minutes of playing time freely.
As a not everything is offered, but where it would be so easy, there are only 3 star.
