Containers: MPEG-4 (.mp4, .m4v), .avi, .mkv all be recognized and played (by other reviews also .mpg, .wmv ...) When a file is not displayed. Tentatively, the file extension on Change .mp4, only then you realize when attempting to play if he can this format or not (possibly error)!
Codecs and formats: play Mpeg2, Mpgeg4, H.264 / AVC (only with sound AC3 or AAC, not MP3 / Mpeg1!), DIVX, XVID (probably with MPEG1 audio track), Flash / H263 (= Youtube old format). (According to other reviews and the Windows Media format is possible.)
IMPORTANT: .flv files with the extension does not appear in the menu. It does not matter whether they were encoded with AVC / H264 (eg downloads from ZDF media library: ".mp4.flv"), or whether it is genuine Flash format. But in both cases, the files are played when you change the file extension before the PC from .flv to .mp4!
The drive noise is noticeably louder and "annoying" than any other I know DVD players (at least twice as loud), so the player is not suitable for people who also watch with quiet tone DVDs / BDs.
The picture is clear to me to help out, "pale", but as you can and the color or brightness in the player settings slightly increase.
