Story

Gameplay

Metroid - Other M is the fan base parts. For some, it is the pure Metroid revelation, for others rather an ulcer on the flawless face of the series. This ulcer is for me Prime Hunters, by far the worst of all time Metroid. The best part of the series is Other M for me but also not. On the one hand it takes a lot of the old parts, but then breaks with the tradition of weapons such as finding and playing substantially linear. Even the backtracking in order to mention it again, it seems to have been pretty much reduced. Nevertheless, the core elements of Metroid still exist, at least in its basic features, they were only partially screwed down in favor of a meaner game feeling.
A playing time of 10-11 hours, I think, moreover, for perfectly fine. The classical pieces all had a season that falls about in this context, even the prime parts must not necessarily take that long.
Personally, I am completely satisfied with the game, and not a single euro grieve afterwards. Other M tried on a few innovations, it creates in my opinion, but at the same time maintaining the core elements of the series. Because I know about the numerous discussions, I will speak here not strong buy recommendation for all Metroid fans, but put to anyone fond of, to borrow the game at least once, and then judge for yourself.
So from me 5 stars, inspite of small problems that simply result from the highly entertaining gameplay for me.
